Nvidia opted to partially disable this GPU die, however, and instead each GTX 1650 will have access to just 896 CUDA cores and 56 TMUs. Unaffected is the GPU’s back-end, which employs a 128-bit-wide memory interface that connects to 4GB of GDDR5. The cut-down die hints that Nvidia indeed may launch a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti in the future with a fully enabled TU117 core to power it. But that’s for another day.

The starting price laid down by Nvidia for the GeForce GTX 1650 is $149.99, which is the lowest you will find any of these GPUs at launch, with most coming in above that. As a result, the GeForce GTX 1650 is considerably more expensive than the outgoing GeForce GTX 1050, and it’s also priced higher than many GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards. It's also above some models of AMD’s Radeon RX 570, which is its main competitor.
