Abstract: To enable lossless compression, an auxiliary bitmap is used to provide side information about the graph bitmap. Each bit in the auxiliary bitmap represents a word in the graph bitmap. A zero bit in the auxiliary bitmap means that the corresponding word in the graph bitmap is not transmitted. Therefore, it is set to the default value, , during decompression. This default value could be either an all-zeros word, or all-ones word depending on the BFS step. A one bit in the auxiliary bitmap means that the corresponding word in the graph bitmap is transmitted.

The performance improvement comes from several changes. First, the 1650 has more memory bandwidth and CUDA cores compared with the 1050/1050 Ti. Second, it's clocked quite a bit higher. And third, the Turing architecture supports concurrent FP32 and INT calculations, which can boost performance another 10-30 percent over the Pascal GPUs (depending on the game and settings). The GeForce GTX 1650 itself, alas, is somewhat lackluster as the Turing line goes. At the heart is a new GPU core named “TU117,” packing in a total of 1,024 CUDA cores and 64 TMUs. Nvidia opted to partially disable this GPU die, however, and instead each GTX 1650 will have access to just 896 CUDA cores and 56 TMUs. Unaffected is the GPU’s back-end, which employs a 128-bit-wide memory interface that connects to 4GB of GDDR5. The cut-down die hints that Nvidia indeed may launch a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti in the future with a fully enabled TU117 core to power it. But that’s for another day.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product include electronic design automation (EDA) tools used with standard CMOS processes to design and produce radiation-hardened (rad-hard) integrated circuits (ICs) having a predictable level of radiation hardness while maintaining a desired level of performance and tracking circuit area. The tools include rad-hard design rule checking (DRC) decks, rad-hard SPICE models, and rad-hard cell libraries. A rad-hard parasitic components extraction process makes use of rad-hard DRC rules to locate occurrences of parasitic devices, calculate their effects on circuit performance, and return this information to layout and circuit simulation tools. Changes to the layout are suggested and implemented with varying degrees of automation. Some of these tools can be provided as components of a rad-hard process design kit (PDK). They can be used in conjunction with commercial EDA tools to facilitate the incorporation of rad-hard features into new or existing IC designs.
The problem is that GPUs don't exist in a vacuum. If you're building a gaming PC, all of the other parts add to the cost. I've used a midrange priced build (around $725, not including the GPU) to calculate the overall gaming value of each GPU for the entire PC, and the faster graphics cards end up being far better recommendations from that perspective.
